The resurgence of downtown Mission continues. The Mission Business Partnership, founded and headed by Kevin Fullerton, created and produced the first Mission Sunflower Festival for the citizens of Mission and the surrounding area.
The two-day event kicked off Friday, August 25th with a food truck festival that drew approximately 1,500 people. Saturday’s events included a parade, games, contests, Bingo, food, entertainment and more.
The idea behind the festival was to bring people to downtown Mission to discover the businesses in the area and to have fun as a community. “We wanted to put on something that was uniquely Mission,” Fullerton said.
Springboard Creative donated the creative and marketing for the festival.
