Mission Mayor Steve Schowengerdt appointed Kevin Fullerton, principal/creative director of Springboard Creative, to the newly-formed Mission Downtown District Task Force.

“The City of Mission is committed to maintaining and enhancing the vitality of our Downtown District,” Mayor Schowengerdt wrote. “The Johnson Drive Rehabilitation Project, which is now nearly complete, was a major investment in our community, and we now need to focus on ways to make Mission a prime location for new and existing small businesses.

“I am now establishing a Downtown District Enhancement Task Force to explore options for attracting new businesses, as well as working with our many well-established businesses to keep Mission their location of choice.”

The first task force meeting, chaired by Council member Debbie Kring, was January 13th. The task force will meet throughout the first half of 2015. For agendas, minutes and meeting dates, go here.
