Howland Wins Three Student ADDYs From AAF-KC

Designer Nick Howland, also a student at the Kansas City Art Institute, took home three Student ADDY Awards during the American Advertising Awards on Saturday, Feb. 15th. The event was put on by the American Advertising Federation–Kansas City.

 

Nick won the following awards:
> Gold // Stature (typeface and promotional poster)
> Silver // Spider-Man Rebranding (rebranding and cross-media application of brand)
> Bronze // Decode: The Poems of Gertrude Stein (experimental typographic book)

 

“I tried to act surprised that Nick won gold—it wasn’t much of a shock given his talent,” said art director Brendan O’Shaughnessy.

 

The American Advertising Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world.

 

Nick’s Gold and Silver winners will now go onto the District Student ADDYs competition.
